Paco de Lucía Legacy is a tribute to the greatest flamenco artist of all time on the tenth anniversary of his death. Recognised in all musical spheres for his creative talent, his ability to perform and his constant search for innovation, Paco de Lucía opened the doors of flamenco to the world.
The aim of this tribute is not only to celebrate the life and work of the maestro, but also to show how this local and traditional music transcends borders. It has been conceived as a great celebration that highlights the synergistic coexistence of flamenco with other styles such as jazz, classical music or African music.
More than 30 artists from different backgrounds and both sides of the Atlantic will come together to celebrate Paco for 5 days. The heart of this great city will beat to the rhythm of flamenco.
The festival will begin in February in New York and will include concerts in various formats, master classes and cultural events. This city profoundly transformed Paco, with events that marked his life and musical evolution.
The Paco de Lucía Legacy festival is an initiative promoted by the Paco de Lucía Foundation in collaboration sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Junta de Andalucía, and presented by Serious Fan Music with the collaboration of Fundación Escuela Creativa and co-financed with European Funds: Ministry of Finance, Junta de Andalucia.
